I was driving on Lonehill Street in Glendora on 11/11/2020 and a man in a Ford Flex asked me to roll down my window.  He said he could fix the dent on my car and asked for me to pull over to chat.  He explained that he worked for an auto body company and was trying to start his own web-based company and said he would give me a good deal and excelelnt work.  He asked if he could take before and after photos for his website and followed me to my home.  He quoted me $275.00 for the dent repair and said he could also repair the bottom scratches for the same.  He worked on my car in my driveway for 2.5 hours and then went to pick up paint that he said he matched with the serial number on the car door.

The job was completed within 3 hours and aside from a tacky blue substance left on the side bumper, the dent appeared to be gone.  I paid him a total of $550.00.  He told me the blue substance would turn translucent and disappear and that I shopuld wait 48 hours to wash the car.  Two days later, I found myself at a car wash, trying to remove the blue substance and reveal the finished repair- good as new!  NOT!  The paint he used does not match the original paint and the blue substance turned into a mess, leaving the ornage peel on my car to look like crap.

I have tried to text him repeatedly to ask that he fix the horrendous paint job and deliver the quality work he promised and have not received a call back.  I feel like a fool becasue I fell for this scam.  Don't fall for it too.  Now, I will have to shell out more money to fix his mess.  Moral of the story is if it sounds too good to be true, it likely is.
