Complaint Review: BODY OF CHANGE

MAY 2002 was talked in to signing up immediately for personal training even though I expressed to the manager at the time of interview that it was affordable to me.
She then made arrangements for something that was somewhat more affordable to me and made it be known that the offer would not be there if I did not take it on that day. So I did.

On top of that misrepresentation, I was not told that they can only accept payment through a credit card. I did not find that out until after first signature was made on contract and only then was it clarified!

During the initial interview I was asked specifically how many days during the week I would be available and willing to put into the training and get into shape. I told them that I was a stay at home mother and did not have the option of child care SURE I could take my daughter to the day care in LA FITNESS but I was not willing to do that.

I told her (the manager) that I was only available evenings.

Knowing that I was only available in the evenings, she still assigned me to a trainer (who had only been working there for less than 3 months) who was only available from the hours of 6AM to 12-1PM. How does that schedule of the trainer fit with mine???

After the first couple payments were made I had only received a couple sessions (of course, I still had to make arrangements around the TRAINER'S schedule). I explained to her that I couldn't do that schedule it didn't matter.

No one ever bothered to call me after that to find out why I was not scheduling any appointments. I made my calls to their location in LA FITNESS yet for some reason at that location they fail to answer the phone and the manager does not return your calls.

So now I have this on my credit which has seriously messed it up. My husband and I are trying to buy a home and we have this in our way and from what I have already read on the ripoff reports is that I may not even GET THIS TAKEN CARE OF!

So if anyone has advice on tactics to take with these nasty money hungry people-please let me know and if you are in need of some personal training find a reputable place I KNOW BODY OF CHANGE IS NOT REPUTABLE!
