It is the most toxic work environment I and all other formerly employed friends have experienced. The office is owned by two individuals named Bill and Sara who maintain unhealthy constant work hours, and passive aggressively expect staff to work from early morning through late evening while highly underpaying.

They provide minimal communication on projects. They refused to adapt in any way to COVID telework health advisories, putting all staff at risk by requiring everyone to be present full time. They were extremely aggressive towards a devoted employee for giving two weeks’ notice. They wrongfully terminated another for having COVID after specifically messaging them not to come in, then cited their absence as the reason for termination.

There was a potential hire the whole group interviewed who turned down the employment offer due to the clear lack of schedule flexibility (note: this individual is Black). Bill’s verbal response was “We’ll just convince them we do have flexibility then work them like a slave.” They have a black cat in the office they named “Token,” the reason for which they hid from a Black employee and tried to joke around about with other staff when that individual was not present.

Bill also stated that they expected everyone to be present “unless you are on your death bed” and responded with zero understanding to anyone legitimately calling in sick. They refused reasonable accommodation for an employee disability. It’s an extremely unhealthy work environment.
