Complaint Review: Blake Sloan

I was hired by Sloan Realty Group to find and line up licensed contractors for a 1 bedroom oceanfront condo remodeling at Water's Edge. Susan Floyd that worked for Blake Sloan was a neighbor and friends with my wife. The company they originally hired broke through a gypsum firewall and hit a water line flooding some lower condos. Susan was crying to my wife she was going to be fired. She had just escaped a physically abusive relationship with her daughter. After she told me they would pay me $15,000 to lineup the contractors and see it through without me actually having to do any work I said yes. A month into the job as I was checking daily to see the guys I found them were making progress Susan Floyd told my wife she wanted $5000 for a " finders fee". I refused. This was never discussed. I went straight to Blake Sloans office. He finally agreed to meet and I showed him a little bit of the evidence. I have over a dozen emails and messages. I showed Blake only 1. He told me he didn't do business this way. And I told him it was illegal for his office to be involved in asking for a large sum of money on a job they were in charge of. The following day as the appliances were being delivered the company called me and said they couldn't get in the lockbox. I tried calling Blake. He never returned a call. Susan Floyd finally got me in and when I walked in the front door the wind blew so hard it snatched the front door hinges off, hurling the door into me and knocking me down the hallway. I ended up with a broken nose and black eye. Both Blake Sloan, She'll Point Mortage Company refused to do anything for my injuries or to pay me for lining these contractors up. I ended up paying them out of my own pocket. A few days later my wife and I were hit on my motorcycle going to dinner. Blake Sloan never paid his bill. He figured I was dead and screw me. DO MOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS GUY. TRUE SCUMBAG
