I am a former employee of Bell Road Toyota. I was there for three months, and was fired for asking too many questions about my deals. After I sold a car (knowing that it was a big $$ deal, I would ask Bob Staup, Manager, what my comminsion would be?) The management is very secretive and does not share that information with their salesman. You find out when you get your voucher. As a salesman, I was a big producer selling 25-30 vehicles a month. What they did to me- was hold all of my pay vouchers until the end of the month. At the end of the month when I received my vouchers-all 27 of them were for $100.00!!. I have over 10 years sales experience with over 6 years of desking deals. Bob Staup and Roger Worley stole my money. When I brought this to the attention of owner Joe Alechi, he blew me off. I was terrminated a few days later. They fear well educated sales staff and enjoy the "green peas." They might throw you a $300 or a $500 voucher your first month or two, but their intentions are to hide your money and steal from you. I have nothing but bad things to say about working for Bell Road Toyota. What a sh*t hole!!!

#7Consumer Suggestion

there are alot of things wrong with this post

first off you dont get paid on the allowance or an acv of trade period, saying that would be like saying you get paid on the price of the car and not the gross or profit.

you say the trade was worth 8500 if the dealership gave the consumer 8500 for it then there is no profit in the trade.

if you had gotten the customer to take 6500 for the trade then you would have gotten paid on the 2000 difference 20% of it at leaste.

you say the trade was scooped i highly doubt your customer was stupid enough to accept 0 for their trade whether they owed money on it or not, that part is completely irrelevant. just because you have a free and clear trade doesnt mean your gross is higher however their is a POTENTIAL to make more gross w a free nad clear trade.

as far as not letting you see the computer that has nothing to do with keeping you in the dark as far as hiding your profit is concerned. I've been doing this for a long time and never let my sales staff know where im at in a deal because if you do they will take the path of leaste resistance with their customers and cost themselves and the dealership more profit. so he was actually doing you a favor by not letting you see the computer and promise you this was his strategy.

as far as floating money from the front to the back any gm or gsm is a moron and shouldnt be in their position if they let this practice happen in their store. Front end profit is 100% non chargebackable and can never taken away in a deal where the finance managers profit is 100% chargebackable. There are times especially in todays day and age where a bank will only allow you to carry so much on the front end of a deal that profit will be pushed to the back of the deal to maintain a profitable deal. I f we didnt we would just unwind all the deals as the wouldnt make scense profit wise and you wouldnt even have gotten a mini.

Also you sold toyotas and in order to make a decent living on the sales floor of a toyota store you need to sell volume.... they are not the most marked up cars out there and tend to have a more inteligent buyer as far as research and shopping is concerned.

what really should have happened is the manager should have walked you thru the deal and all your deals for that matter and explained how your commision is based and oppurtunities to make yourself more money....thats what a good manager would do, and im sure had that been done you would understand.

ive worked all over the country and am yet to find a gm gsm controller or office staff that purposly steals from the sales staff to post more profit for the store.

As far as sites like this they are avenues to vent, alot of posts are rediculous and from what i can see theres not a company out there thats not on this site, just proof that all companies cant be bad but can have a bad apple in the bunch working for them.

car dealers arent bad warranties gap credit life theft recovery systems are not bogus their are millions of people that use them every day...they are a crap shoot you may or may not use it but in the end if you got it you chose to get it. there a re bad fni guys out there who cram and jam but there also stores who use many forms menus and etc to make sure the customer understands everything they got, but in the end it is up to the consumer to read understand and question their paperwork.

profit is not an ugly word dealers need to make money just as walmart does.

nobody talks about the realestate agent who makes 3% on a home sale, i would love someone to come in and review some of the files for my store you'd be amazed at some of the deals we do for consumers that you would question why i would want to do that deal and make little or no money. every car deal and customer is different and every car holds a certain value to a customer but we have never done anything to anyone that they didnt say yes to and sign multiple forms aknowleging the fact.

ONE GOAL IN MIND!!

That goal is to DEFRAUD as many people, and FINANCIALLY INJURE them, so they can LINE THE POCKETS of the Top Executives with MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN CASH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google this for proof- RIP OFF REPORT FUEL FREEDOM INTERNATIONAL MPG CAPS and go to the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Report, and then read the 'Update' entitled- "Blame it on a Lawyer'.

As everyone in the WORLD can plainly see, the good Professor is 100% correct!! It's the reason that the Dow Jones has LOST 3,000 points since its high of 14,198 last year. And keep in mind, the FED had to inject over $200 BILLION into the Banking Industry & cut the rate SEVEN TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's also the reason that COUNTRYWDE & BEAR STEARNS COLLAPSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More collapses will come!!!!!!!!!! LEHMAN, & FREDDIE MAC, & FANNIE MAY, will most likely follow soon, in my opinion!

These are the FOUNDATION of most of America, our Government, & our Corporate system- FRAUD, CORRUPTION, MANIPULATION, GREED, LIES, DECEPTION & the CONSTANT PURSUIT TO FINANCIALLY INJURE THE INNOCENT!! Simply look at what's happening with OIL right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's WHY America is COLLAPSING right in front of our eyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Google this- RIP OFF REPORT GM CREDIT CARD SERVICES and read the 'Update"- Quote- 'The collapse of the U.S. economy is in its infancy. Get all of your money out of the stock market and cash in your reyirement NOW! Most people cannot see what's coming. I do! Americans have $4 TRILLION....' (that was last September!!!!!!!!! Look what has happened since!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE: 'Even Arnold Ziffel could have figured this one out.' 7-16-2007 Google this to read it- RIP OFF REPORT TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION USA MANIPULATION and go to the 'Update' entitled- 'SUGGESTION'. Look what it says right before that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The STOCK MARKET has to CRASH because it is based almost entirely on LIES, just like our Government, in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I believe the CRASH is coming SOON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God bless all the INNOCENT people in America & around the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Support our troops over in Iraq- BRING 'EM BACK!!!!! BRING 'EM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CASH-IN ALL YOUR STOCK & CASH-IN YOUR RETIREMENT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They Can't Help Themselves

#7Consumer Comment

Car guys are soo use to screwing people over, that they can't help themselves from screwing even their own employees or themselves over. Guy I know here in town, got hired by one of the largest car dealership owners, to be the president of one of his local pontiac/GM dealerships. The dealership had been losing money for years. The agreement he had with the owner was; That he would get 10% of any profit it turned. In the first year, he worked anywhere from 80 to 100 hours per week. After ONE YEAR, the dealership turned about $4.85 millon IN PROFIT. The guy goes to the owner and wants his $485,000. The owner was outraged that the guy EXPECTED to be paid $485,000. He finally paid him cause he had it in writting and knew he'd lose in court. Then the owner wanted to renegoiate his contract. I had one idiot car salesmen screw me for $15 while trying to sell me a $30,000 truck. Then he wonders why I didn't buy it from him. As I said, they can't help themselves.

It is not unheard of in sales for the house to (you know) the salesman....

A legit shop (not just car dealers) should provide a clear comission scale. Some shops simply steal comission money. There is a car salesman's account on Edmunds, and I read another where the house had funny accounting practices to shave the salesman's comissions.

Many shops will simply try to limit the salesman's income- maybe to keep the salesman from going independant. This is why H. Ross Perot left IBM. They placed a quota on him because he 'sold too much', and the first year of his quota limitation he sold all he was allowed to sell for the entire year by February.

In the long run, the dealership would seem to gain more by keeping the pro's happy rather than having a high turnover of green peas, but some managements often don't work that way.

ALL of the current Sales Reps at the Dealership and have them call EVERY customer who purchased a vehicle and tell them to CALL the BANK, or FINANCE COMPANY, or CREDIT UNION, where their vehicle is financed and get ALL the copies of the LOAN DOCUMENTS that were sent in by the Dealer!! WHY?

Because there is a CHANCE that some of the Loan Paperwork was ALTERED or FORGED by someone at the Dealership!! Have all customers scrutinize EVERY PIECE OF PAPERWORK!!!!!!! Even the MANUFACTURERS INVOICE that must accompany the Loan!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?

Because there is a CHANCE that the INVOICE was ALTERED at the Dealership!!!!!!!!! They COULD cut the TOP PORTION of the INVOICE, which contains the VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER, and paste it onto another similar vehicle INVOICE with MANY MORE FEATURES that costs much more and DEFRAUD the BANK & the CUSTOMER so the loan will go through!!!!!!!!!!

This TACTIC can be used when a customer has NEGATIVE EQUITY in their TRADE-In and the Dealership needs to show the Bank that the vehicle being purchased can 'absorb' that NEGATIVE EQUITY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS FRAUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IF the Dealership did this, then the CUSTOMER can sue and get compensated and the Bank can sue the Dealership and they will win because ALTERING an INVOICE can only be done by the DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get back at the Dealership by OUTSMARTING them!!!!!!!!

Also, if you have any customers who were TRICKED into an EXTENDED WARRANTY without their knowledge, you can cause EXTREME NEGATIVE PUBLICITY for that Dealership!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also have all of your customers Google this- ENGINE SLUDGE, and go to the consumeraffairs website about Toyota engine complaints and read ALL of the complaints!! ESPECIALLY THE ones after you click on 'Airbags'. Have all of your customers go into the Dealership and DEMAND in WRITING that their AIRBAGS are 100% safe & operable!!

If the Dealership won't do that, it must mean that they are not certain and that the customer's LIVES COULD BE IN DANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Sales Reps at the Dealership are your friends!! They are FED UP too!!!!! They can help you in your quest to EXPOSE things that are unethical & illegal!!!!!

Quote: 'A corporation's worst fear is EXPOSURE.' - Harvard Business Professor, to his class in 2004. Google this to read what else he said- RIP OFF REPORT FUEL FREEDOM INTERNATIONAL MPG CAPS and go to the 2001 Toyota Tacoma Report and then to the 'Update' entitled- 'Blame it on a Lawyer'.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU ON T.V.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
