We politely asked Bahia Principe Privilege Club to cancel our long term contract due to inability to use resorts. We paid purchase amount in full upon signing contract in 2014. We used 6 weeks out of 30 purchased. The experiense was horrendous, we wrote multiple compains without any successful resolution.
In spite of that, we were going to absorb lost and did not ask for refund initially. But in answer to our goodwill, the scamming company sent us a waiver with non-disparagement clause stating that we would not post any negative reviews online and called that "mutual release".
We would understand such clause IF the company had any intention to refunded unused portion of the money we had paid years ago, but no such decensy. We live in the free world. This is not North Korea or Russia, where there is no right of speech and somebody can lie and threaten people after taking their money. We received two contradictory explanations of non-disparagment clause in the waiver in course of a few days.
