On May 16th, 2007 I received a supposed ''winning notification'' by mail. The letter informs that I had won 100,000 dollars from the NORTH AMERICAN SWEEPSTAKES held on March 28th, 2007. Along with the letter, there is a check from ''fleet bank'' in the amount of 4,900 from which I was supposed to get 3,900 and make a payment worth government taxes by MONEYGRAM or WESTERN UNION directly to ''the agent'' or the ''identity thief'' as you may call someone who does this.. I received the letter friday.

Today, Monday, I called a TOM JANES, who had an african accent and sounded quite agressive. According to him, I have to deposit the check, wire the 3,900 dollars and then call them back so they can send me the remaining 95,100 dollars by UPS.......

The first sign of fakeness that this winning notification has appears right on the top, on the address line, where it says "CANANDA", spelled just like that. Secondly, the whole text is unjustified and looks totally non-professional. Besides all that, if it was real, they wouldn't ask you to wire money for government taxes.. also, it's probably impossible to win one hundred thousand dollars randomly.. I mean, come on! These frauds are already worn out... and it's such a shame that such crimes are still happening in a country like this where our police is an epitome to everyone else..

I'm so glad I found this website and read tons of stories just like mine.. Even with all the doubts, anyone would get at least ''a little'' excited thinking they received all that money and didn't have to do anything for it..
