Avanquest does not sell you their software, it is more like a least they will terminate without warning. They have Serial Codes that must go through their server and when they eliminate your Code number, you have to buy a new version at full price. If you question the ethics, they offer a 10% discount for their voiding your previously functioning earlier purchase. So, you do not have a right to use the software beyond what they decide to give you. Then you have to start over with a new purchase.
