Complaint Review: AT&T DIRECT NOW

AT&T DIRECT NOW DVTN So many glitches, disconnected after 6 months but billing continues Rural Areas TN.

I subscribed to Direct Now TV steaming services Aug 2018, they done software update at Thanksgiving, missed watching tv all weekend, then on New years day the guide hung and 6 or 8 channels show the same program, worked with chat and tech support 12 to 15 nights a week, During Nfl playoff ,with 2 minutes left, lost game to no content will load,,then missed overtime.

Watching an hour program, the screen would go blue, and message saying cannot load content 45 minutes in to program.Tech support said i needed different remotes, got 3 new roku remotes that they said to get , $160 ,  that didn't help, then they said was my router, another$89, still same problem, i have 75 mg fiber to side of house, but i unhooked everything but 1 tv, still same problem.

Tech support says i had a slow connection, i ran test, was 68mg, so it wasnt connection, 2 weeks later they called to say they found problem in network, I said DUH, i told them, i had Sling,Netflix,Hulu,Roku,and pluto streaming and had never had a problem, With all the trouble i had, i said thats it, called Direct Now, had it disconnected on Feb 23rd, you always pay in advance each month, so i owed nothing.

On the 25th billing cycle they took another months service out of my auto pay( $5 a month) less with auto pay. I went to Direct Now web site, and at bottom of web page is a CONTACT US, i click on it, up pops menu with several choices, clicked on billing, came up LIVE CHAT, click on it, message says put in user id and password, so i did, comes up with message user id and password no good, account closed.

I spent 3 hours calling different 800 numbers that ATT have for phone,internet, and tv services, but no number listed for Direct Now, finally got a lady in Jamaca, but said wrong department, transferred me to a woman in Guam, female rep saying i can't help, gave me a number in San Antonio Tx., lady was in billing but claimed she didn't have authority to fix, transferred me to her supervisor, he said he couldn't tell me the charges, but gave me an 800 number ,said they could take care of it, got another rep in Jamaca ,heavy accent, saying i don't know what you expect and hung up.

So long story short, on phone for 5 hours, talked to 12 different reps, called 7 different 800 numbers. IF you think this is a made up story go to directnow.com, go to bottom of page, when it says contact us, it will give you a selection or options for trouble, billing, moving service, but no phone number, went on computer to where my payment went, showed an 800 number, called it, got recording, no one attends this number.

Best advice , don't use Direct Now, nothing but trouble and one glitch gets fixed, another one will pop up soon.
