I was a Sprint customer.  Sprint was absorbed by T-Mobile.  I chose to continue the insurance on my iPhone 7 Plus with the insurance provider that T-Mobile uses.  That provider is Assurant and it costs me $15 per month.  Within the last week the battery on my phone began to fail and I tried to file a claim with Assurant.  According to my policy my Protection 360 Tier 4 coverage would replace the battery at 0$ cost.

That is not true as advertised.  When I tried to file a claim (either online or by phone) T-Mobile and Assurant kept trying to send me to Apple for repair.  Apple wants to charge $99 for battery replacement because the phone is out of factory warranty even though I have a policy with Assurant that says Sprint and/or T-Mobile will replace my battery a no cost.

Only Apple provides a warranty that will replace or repair your iPhone at no cost within the warranty term.  Do not trust Assurant for battery replacement even though your policy says that service is covered. It is not true.  Save your money and do not pay for additional coverage on your phone with Assurant. If they won't pay for a simple repair like battery replacement I hate to think what costst you're facing for more serious repairs.  Assuarnt coverage is a scam in my opinion!
