I have been a aol member in good standing for over two years. I had my billing set up for a automatic withdraw from my checking account. This worked fine until Sept. of last year. (2001) Suddenly my checking account started showing withdrawls for AOL long distance:($10.09 per month)DSL services:($40.24) as well as a billing through aol for AVS ID cybernet:($16.90) per month.

I did not order these services and I don't even know who or what cybernet is?I thought it was just a mistake and I will clear it up with just a call, but.... Much to my surprise it is now May 16, 2002 and despite numerous calls, (I am well acqauintied with the hit parade they blast you with while on lengthy holds)and Emails, I still have these barbs attacking my checking account monthly. I have talked to their DSL department.

I have talked to their billing department. I have talked to their customer service department. I have both writen and called many times. Does anything work? I really didn't want to close my checking account but it seems like I have little choice.

They have promised to return my overcharges but all I see is more withdrawls! I have cancelled my aol account and they still continue to withdraw money from my account. Isn't this against the law? I don't know where I signed on to allow them to take money out of my account for what ever billing they can come up with, but I want out now! I sure don't remember signing anything. How do they get away with this?
