Complaint Review: AO Smith Water Products

AO Smith Water Products A.O. Smith Sold DOA (dead on arrival) hot water heater. AO Smith will not take it back. Meaning I am out $509 dollars! Ashland City TN

On 3/6/22 I purchased a AO Smith Hot water heater from Lowes for $509. The water heater was DOA (dead on arrival). Hooked it up and water started coming out of top heating element. Had plumber look at it. He said it is a faulty hot water heater and I need to return it. Called Lowe's they stated I need to contact AO Smith (online company) and get an RMA number before I can return.

I have emailed AO Smith through their "contact us" link on their website. AO Smith has not responded. I have called AO Smith 2 days in a row. I was on hold for over 4 hours each day until I gave up. I am a very frustrated consumer because I was sold a faulty, expensive product that no one will help me with.

I need help please. I need consumer advocacy and protection please. I feel like I have been robbed because I can not get a hold of this online company. Lowes said they won't help me (but they sold the hot water heater to me?). And, AO Smith will not answer my emails or phone calls.
