My 11 year old minor daughter signed up for a free 1250 hour trial offer from AOL. My check card number was required, "for information purposes only, not for billing."

I have been ill for the past several months and have had 4 surgeries and unfortunately was too ill to check my bank account statements. I was shocked to find many electronic debits for the same internet access for the same phone number, for the same months utilized on the same computer!

They subsequently have been billing me since June 2002, not once a month but some months several times for the same month!

All of this without Authorized permission to debit my bank account for any payments. I KNOW THAT THIS CANNOT BE LEGAL.

This subsequently caused other kinds of charges to occur from my bank for overdraft charges created by duplicated debit payments taken by AOL.
I already pay Earthlink for my internet access, which I autrhorized personally!

I notified AOL, theyu took no resposibility for these circumstances and they were completely uncooperative in adjusting and/or researching this situation.
correcting their mistakes!!!
I received several letters from AOL with separate account cancellation confirmation numbers all for one single computer.

I do not know anyone that pays several times to the same internet access company for the exact same computer connected to the same phone number. !
