I stopped by Guru Auto/All Tune and Lube in Easton PA. I asked for a state inspection (57.00)and an oil change(30.00) as listed. Mechanic said it would take about an hour to get it done. After about 30 minutes mechanic came out and told me I needed to replace front brake pads or I would not pass the inspection.I asked him for an estimate and he drew up one for $180 on top of the $97.00 in total of over $280 for the whole job. I asked him if I would have to pay for the State inspection again and the mechanic told me that I WOULD have to pay again and would be wasting my money. Left without too much choice I agreed to have him go ahead and do the job for total of $280. While I waited I came upon a pricing list for the exact job on a paper with coupons describing the exact job the mechanic told me I had to get done for $89.95. It read "BRAKE PADS & INSTALLATION 89.95-Install new pads or Shoes.Includes Semi Metallic Pads and resurfacing rotors.I asked for the mechanic he came out after 30 minutes and upon seeing me with the advertisement said,"YOU CANT USE THAT." I asked him why not,he said, "That's the OLD pricing." I asked why then there was a whole stack of it on the table lobby to which he replied, "You agreed to the estimate when you didn't know about that pricing."I felt cheated and asked to see the manager. The female manager became aggressive and told me it was not their POLICY to do business that way and would not give the keys to my vehicle unless I made the payment in full. When I told her I would call the police to rectify the situation she began yelling and screaming for me and my wife to get the f**k out of her store until the police came. I left the store and the police came after a while but the police officer said he could not tell them what to do since it was 'a civil matter' and I had the right to 'file a complaint to the magistrate or the BBB' but there was nothing he could do.And pretty much advised me to make the payment since I could not get the keys to my car until I did. We made the payment and left. Name of mechanic was Mike Micoy and manager was Tiffany
