Complaint Review: Alamo Car Rental1805

Alamo Car Rental1805 Aalamo claims damage to car. There was no damage, The picture provided in todays mail in no way was evident when the car was turned in. I believe the company files false claims to increase their bottom line, I have contacted the Arizona State Attorney's office with my suspisions. Phoenix Arizona

    This car rental company claims damage to the car I rented in Phoenix on Sept 25,2013.  At the time we turned the car in,

there was no damage apparant, even though the clerk went on and on about the 'undercarrage' dragging on the ground.

No picture was provided at the time. I could not see any damage to the vehicle.

 

Today (10/28/2013) the mail brings a packet from Alamo, demanding almost $200.00 for the so-called damage.  Included in

packet were pictures they took of the underneath of the car showing some scrapes.  If they were on the car I rented, they

had to have been there when the car was rented,  I did not do anything that would have caused such scrapes.

 

I believe the company is filing false claims to try to increase their bottom line.  The car I reserved was unavailable.  The

subsequent car offered had problems with check engine light and the Dodge I was finally given had the low tire pressure

warning light and sound on for much of the week I had the car, even though the tire pressure was fine.

 

I have contacted the Arizona State Attorney Generals office and asked them to look into this report.

I have sent a check for the amount requested, but will continue to broadcast the "wonderful cusstomer service" provided

by Alamo Car Rental.

Re report  filed against  Alamo Car Rental Oct 28th.  I have received numerous contacts from various Alamo   staff. They have taken my complaint seriously and have resolved the situation to my satisfaction, including refunding thepayment I made to them for the "damages" to the car.  I am pleased with the company.
