Complaint Review: Advanced Building Consultants

Advanced Building Consultants was engaged to build my house.  A long list of failures resulted

* Failed to protect foundation and framing for over 9 months during rainy weather, resulting in long term mold issue, which I had to pay thousands to resolve.

* 12-18 month project took over 3 years to get 60% complete.  Then they hit me up for more money to complete

* Constant failure to follow instructions requiring rework and delay.  Everything from incorrect grout colors to incorrect basement depth to total mismanagement of subs.  

* No timeline or planning.  Major irreversible changes would be made without consultation, requiring either rework or other major expensive fix.  Again I was charged for this.

* Failed to plan and engage to apply finish clear cedar siding for months, resulting in siding having to be replaced.  Again I had to pay for this mistake to make forward progress.

* countless other failures too numerous to list
