This is a long and drawn out series of cases, schemes, and scams by many shady yet clueless wannabe posers in the international commercial media industry going back nearly a decade revolving around Ace Cruz, so bear with me. I've been recently notified by multiple sources that there is renewed interest in these scammers (most likely because they are actively doing their thing again): We start with Ace Cruz of then hollywoodvideo.tv (dead site) and spiritfilmsllc.com (also dead), you'll find him flying from country to country (Philipines, US, EU, etc) evading the law and debt collectors after hiring and low-balling various companies while screwing clients and blaming on said companies he hired to do the dirty work for his various schemes on getting fame. Much of Ace's schemes involves finding a new girlfriend and having a new child, making commercials, skits, music videos, promises of fame, depicting either SJW causes such as donating money for dressed down poor kids or investment schemes to get gullible investors to make the next biggest hit, such as his pet project which is a live-action anime "Angel Warrior" that, for years, couldn't get off the ground due to a autistic lack of understanding of the fact that ridiculous things in Anime can't be realized in live action without billions of dollars in funding and thousands of crew members which no one in their right minds would expend on. Ace's last, most legally noted scam in the US involved the scamming of some gullible (but maybe not so innocent) film students; Sherif, Amir, Andrea, et al) who wanted to impress a "big label" by making a gun flic sex gore music video as cheaply and quickly as possible to impress some "big names" and get famous. Ace lowballed the project bid to a student wannabe director Sherif Alabede and producer Andrea Sastoque, then outsourced it to our veteran artists group who he planned to take the fall when the budget runs out as he misappropriated the funds on his own bills. (Other artists screwed by them have posted their own report about that here if you want to read https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/andrea-sastoque-sherif-alabede/pasadena-ca-91106/andrea-sastoque-amp-sherif-alabede-sherif-reindorf-alabedeandreasastoque12gmailcoms-1343713) There's going to be a ton of facts to set straight in that case: The principal client, Sherif, having politically mislead lefty ideologies (see Facebook profile https://facebook.com/sherif.reindorfalabede) predictably accused everyone of being "gun fanatics" and "sexist" when in reality the clients' very own music video project was literally about "infatuation" with guns and outrageously sexualized women (https://archive.vn/3xVqH). Sherif was a then student director who insisted that he wanted to produce a music video but also wanted to direct all aspects of it, including technical and principal photography against any professional advice, long story short, he steered the project into the ditch and attempted to blame others. All the assets were filmed "uncomfortably" (as Amir put it) during principal photography under the insisted direction of the student "director" himself, Sherif, not under the control of any experienced professional such as myself or the crew. The results were predictable, useless footage, which he blamed everyone else on. So naturally, the client wanted everyone else to fix his mess for free, which Ace approved that without consulting with anyone who was going to do the work. But sensing things were going awry as usual, he let his ex-wife Christine Villegas play the part of the owner of the company. Glendale Police sources claim she was an illegal and never a owner or co-owner. Sherif, without sufficient experience in post production and later diagnosed color-deficient vision, insisted on directing all technical aspects of the fix-it-in-post attempt, which Ace approved without budgeting and prior approval resulting in even more cost overrun and the crew not getting paid. Amazingly, the work did get completed but Sherif's "label", who he wanted to please, didn't like it and cited it as "amateur". Not only did he blame everyone else but himself who directed every aspect of it (which he was never qualified to do), he felt owed by the company that they produce another version that will please his "label" AND refused to pay for any of the existing and overrun work. With so many people owed money, Ace and the crew did sue (see case 16AHSC02883 in Los Angeles County), however Ace Cruz fled to the Philipines on the day of the hearing, abandoning all his employees, colleagues, son, and then wife to meet up with a new girlfriend and subsequently have another child. Amir did turn around and claim Ace was the one "coerced" and deemed everyone else "mentally unstable" because everyone wanted to persue legal action. The judge did rule in some of the crew's favor but not to Ace who defaulted by fleeing the country, though the defendants like to claim otherwise while not realizing there was a separate judgement against them. However in the end, the post crew never got paid for several months work. Defendants in the above case have claimed they were "victims" of attempted collections and other such legal acts, but given the number of people owed money in this case, I wouldn't be as surprised as they were. Ultimately, just like many of other of Ace's scams, the good people who did the work never got paid, and the gullible were mislead to believe it was someone else's fault while in reality they were made to look like chumps falling for Ace's scams. His current media site is hollywoodceleb.tv , featuring more networking and interviews with (in)famous people, including Yank Barry (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yank_Barry) convicted of extortion and misappropriation of funds. The core of the problem lies in Ace and many of the others involved not understanding the concept of legal work and pay, or the amount of man power and time it takes to make a fine product. They are just overwhelmed and focused on fame, glitz, and fake promises, doomed to repeat the cycle.
