I watch a very disabled child for a living and the hours he needs to be cared for are controlled by the government. One day ABC 1 on 1, the company I watch the child through, called me and said that the hours for that kid are cut in fourths. So instead of 120 hours a month of care, he would only be getting 30 hours a month. If you met the kid you'd realize that this is ridiculous. He needs at least the 120 hours a month of supervision and treatment, if not more. So I called the child's case worked about it, and she told me that what they said was totally false, and that his hours weren't bumped down at all.

It turns out that the last person that was watching the child was putting down too many hours spent watching the child than she should have been writing down, So they were trying to make the time up or something by cutting his hours real low. They got in big trouble by the state for it.

The next week after I called them on their folly, there was a "mistake" with my paper work and my paycheck is going to be 2 weeks late now. I called and talked to everyone I could at the company about it, but they just kept running me in circles, and now they won't even answer the phone when I call about it. The VP told my husband that if he called again she'd take him to court. It is just a horrible company to work for and they just lie to get them out of every hole they dig themselves in.

I used to work for this company as well. I was an at-home provider hired on by a friend of family to care for her child with autism. My client's services were eradicated by the state in 2006, and I had attempted to continue in-center therapy with various children as a fill-in. I always submitted my paperwork on time and with correct documentation, as how the position is independently contracted. I worked about 20-30 hours a week, and one paycheck the owner and her minions told me that I had not submitted proper paperwork on time to be paid. I certainly had, and they have cameras and employees in their center that could have testified against that. I filed a claim through the Department of Labor, but lost because independent contractors have to file in court evidently, and I did not then have the money to take them to court. Also, I felt responsible for not keeping copies/records of the paperwork/timesheets I had trusted them with managing for me.
