The company sounds like a scam. For past due returns you should either go in person to a preparer etc. File a complaint with your local authorities as this MIGHT be considered a theft/ loss on your current next years return.

No, the company was not to file the taxes for me, they were to e-mail them to me because this was for PRIOR years. Prior years tax returns are to be e-mailed to the customer for them to send in to the IRS.

No, the company was not to file my return for me. Because it was for Prior years taxes, they were to e-mail me the return, and I was to mail it off myself. I never received a e-mail from them.
