I dealt with John Schwarz as well as another woman, both of whom were uncooperative and continued to procrastinate on my booking as soon as I had made my deposit. Telephone calls went unanswered, weeks went by without a work from them, and when I set a deadline (less than 2 weeks before I had to travel), Mr Schwartz made it clear that my booking was not a priority.

I said that I was cancelling my booking, and Mr Scwartz said that they had already made a deposit on the flights to the airline (a complete fabrication), and that therefore I would not be getting my deposit back.

I gather, from my research on the internet, that this is common practice for 1st-Air.net - they leave the booking until the last minute in order to leverage more money out of the customer, or in my case, to keep a deposit which they did not earn. This sort of unethical and unprofessional behaviour should not be tolerated, and I strongly caution anybody considering 1st-Air.net to boycott them. I found it much simpler (and just as inexpensive) to buy from the airline directly, and at least the oneworld alliance is reliable and honest.
